The number of businesses positive about the role that cloud computing can play in improving their IT delivery has exceeded the amount of sceptics for the first time.
Research from analyst Yankee Group shows that 60 per cent of enterprises now treat cloud computing as a key business enabler. Just one year ago, only 37 per cent shared this positive view of cloud, leading Yankee to declare that cloud is on the cusp of broad enterprise adoption.
However, continuing trust issues mean that 67 per cent prefer to use private or internal clouds to host their software and data.
