Version 6 of LiveTime makes itself at home…anywhere
LiveTime takes to the skies with release which is at home wherever it goes.
LiveTime Software has released a cloud-based version of its service management and helpdesk software which it claims reduces installation time down from months to weeks.
Built around the principles laid out by ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library), the LiveTime 6 software release uses open standards that is said to be platform agnostic, meaning it supports any operating system, browser or database.
Other new features include a search engine with support for Office 2007 file formats, 12 connectors enabling integration with products such as Tivoli Discovery, LanDesk and Novell ZenWorks Desktop, and a federated CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase) which pulls together all the assets that the aforementioned discovery products locate.
