Numara earns its Spurs
Service desk software upgrade allows change management and support for growth of credit card payments.
Football club Tottenham Hotspur has extended its relationship with service management software supplier Numara Software by purchasing technology to help compliance with 700,000 credit card payments made each year.
A customer of Numara’s Track-It helpdesk technology since 2003, the club has upgraded to FootPrints, a product which will continue to handle IT calls, but also adds improved support for system changes, vital for meeting the Data Security Standard which relates to retailers handling customer card payments.
Tottenham’s IT and telecommunications manager Philip Rose describes the reasons for upgrading. If it had not been for the requirements of PCI (The Security Standards Council)-compliance, we would have continued with Numara Track-It. However the key tenet of PCI is the protection of cardholder data, and to be able to make security-driven changes to our requirements, we must have effective incident and change management capabilities in place. Numara FootPrints helps us to manage any changes, such as monitoring legacy software applications that may not be PCI DSS compliant and which must be checked for security.
