ITIL project built from the ground up
Incommunities, one of the largest housing associations in the North of England, is embarking on an ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) project designed to offer a better service to more than 22,000 homes in the Bradford district it serves.
Web based IT service management software, Sostenuto from Sunrise, is being used to support the best practice drive.
Farhat Mahmood, director of ICT at Incommunities, said that Sostenuto was chosen because it is easy to deploy, operate and maintain, and because it makes ‘ITIL very straightforward to implement.’ ”(We are) adopting ITIL in a drive to introduce its quality standards, increase transparency and improve efficiencies in our IT processes and operation.”
Initially being used by the IT department, the software and ITIL principles may eventually be adopted by marketing and other departments to manage their activities.
