Mobile devices are the dominant method for accessing the web, with a study from Accenture finding that more than two-thirds of users access the internet daily via smartphones and tablets.
The research found that emerging economies are at the forefront of mobile adoption, with countries such as Brazil, Russia, and South Africa reporting more than 70 per cent of internet access via mobile devices.
“Companies need to react quickly, transform their operating models and use mobile and cloud-based customer relationship management technologies to keep pace with the changing demands of their customers,” says Accenture director Nikolaus Mohr.
