A celebration of customer service and the work carried out by IT support teams is taking place as IT Service Week kicks off on 4th October.
Running alongside the National Customer Service Week, which was started in 2001, IT Service Week is designed to promote the sterling work carried out by support teams. The Service Desk Institute (SDI) has urged teams to get involved, suggesting ideas such as job swaps between frontline analysts and management, fancy dress or themed days, or PC support drop-ins.
“IT Service Week offers service desks the perfect opportunity to showcase the superb work of their patient and hard-working analysts and engineers, and show exactly how much they contribute to keeping their businesses, or their customers’ businesses, running,” says Howard Kendall, founder and chairman of SDI.
