The ongoing need to rationalise cost has seen more than a dozen NHS organisations implement Certero’s PC Power Management software since the start of the year to reduce energy expenditure.
Certero says that 30 per cent of computers are left on overnight, amounting to £17 per machine a year in wasted electricity. The power management software allows large organisations like the NHS to safely log-out users and shut machines down across a network automatically, reducing carbon footprints and making financial reductions.
“Certero is now the largest PC Power Management supplier to the NHS, with our PowerStudio solution enabling savings of more than £90 per PC each year,” says Certero managing director John Lunt.
